- What is the story behind the name “Sagnar”?
Sagnar started with twin Brothers, Max and Roman, officially in 2023. They started out with Open Mics, Battle of the Bands, as well as Hervey Bay Unplugged. Kye joined as the bassist in Nov 2024.
Our name came about as the brothers became victims to name calling at school for having red hair. So we decided to turn a negative into a positive. Sagnar is ‘rangas’ spelled backwards. Later on, we found out it also means ‘to draw blood’, which is kind of cool as well. - What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?
We love meeting new people when we play at awesome venues and new places. Playing awesome music for circle pits and being creative with our talent. Keeping punk music and music alive in general and for generations to come. - Who’s your dream musician to collaborate with and why?
There are So many bands we love. Including Frenzal Rhomb, Bring Nofx Out of Retirement, Pennywise, Millencolin, Fake News and Dead Heat. - Do you write your own music? Where can we find your music?
Yes we most definitely do write our own music. Currently we have a song ‘Encore’ released. With another to be released soon. We will be back in the studio to record some more, with a goal to release our first EP by the end of the year.
